As our daughter’s Bridal Shower was the first wedding in our family, I wanted it to be very special. I felt a unique and distinctive invitation was in order to mark the event. The invitations were handmade: I purchased small white square boxes, cut out the exact measurement from decorative paper for the background, and glued it in; then, I purchased toy knights that fit in the box and hot glued the knight down. I next designed the wording of the invitation to fit within the dimensions of the box and printed it onto a clear heavy plastic presentation sheet – cut it to fit as a lid to the box, glued it down, and trimmed the glued down edges with ribbon.
