In the spirit of Edgar Allen Poe, this project is comparable to either a “snow globe” or a “diorama”.

I just happened to have an ivory pedestal that was the perfect size for the opening of an old fish bowl, which hasn’t been inhabited by fish in years. I placed some moss as ground cover for the bottom of the bowl, then added 2 miniature skulls, 2 crystal spider brooches [left over from last year’s project] and a string of pearls. I then enclosed the scene by placing the fish bowl over it, adding some spiders to the outside and embellishing it further with a skull and raven ornament on top. Boring Halloween? “Ah, Nevermore!”
